Wednesday / Thursday Plans

Wednesday is bound to be another very hard day. We will be visiting the Civil Right Memorial here in Montgomery before leaving for Selma where we'll visit the National Voting Rights Museum and take a guided tour of the city. From there we'll be driving on to Jackson. We'll be spending the night at the John Perkins Foundation and doing a service project with their organization on Thursday. Internet is unsure but we'll get new posts up when we can. Thanks for checking in on us. Please leave a comment. ;)

Hope you're feeling better my Sankofa sister! Praying for those difficult conversations to be used in powerful ways.

Hi to the 2008 Sankofa team. As I look at the pictures posted on the blog I am brought back to my own experience as a Sankofa team member. I remember sitting on the fountain outside the Rosa Parks Museum and visiting the Voting Rights Museum. I also remember those tough conversations. Please push forward through the pain, but remember to approach one another as precious children of the the Most High King. We pursue reconciliation in His name and should strive to take every step in His power, grace, and forgiveness.

My prayers go with you,
Brittani Thielen
